Coniston Community Centre is currently our most northerly positioned solar rooftop; tucked in just south of the M5, it supports the communities of Patchway and the surrounding areas. The centre serves local knitters, gamers and businesses alike with its open-to-all activity sessions and event spaces. Of the 18,000 kWh produced annually by the panels installed on its roof, over 60% of the energy is used on-site to fuel the community centre and its support of local families and young people. When the panels were installed during the summer of 2016 it provided an excellent opportunity for children at the centre to learn from the installers themselves about solar panels and their benefits for the environment.
