In our current crowdfund, we’ve already raised over £200,000. But we have a long way to go to meet our £1.15m target by 31 July 2017.
There are many reasons to make a positive investment in community energy. Today hear from one of our investors from Southville in Bristol, Katherine.
Name: Katherine Piper
Location: Southville, Bristol
Type & Year of investment: Bond, April 2016
Why Katherine chose to invest with BEC:
I am completing a Masters in Sustainable Development and through this, have learnt of the very urgent need to take action now if we are to mitigate the devastating impacts of climate change. I have therefore divested my money from any institutions linked to fossil fuels and have invested some of this money in BEC’s bond offer. This makes perfect sense to me as not only am I investing in a sustainable, clean form of energy but I am also receiving a good return on my investment, a win-win situation.
