Checking your figures?

If you’re reviewing your finances for 2025, or checking your will is up to date, don’t forget these useful facts:

  • If you hold investments in BEC Bonds, they can be easily transferred to another adult at any time, or divided between adults, as long as this is in multiples of £100. Contact BEC to arrange this.
  • BEC Shares can’t be transferred during your lifetime, but you can include an instruction in your will to transfer them directly to one or more adults, in multiples of £100. It’s a simple step which could save your executor trouble, and give your heirs immediate control.
  • Plus, if BEC shares are transferred in your will, in most cases there should be no Inheritance Tax charge.
  • You might also consider including a donation to BEC in your will.

For more information, or to arrange a bond transfer, contact BEC.

BEC does not provide investment advice, and you should take advice about your own circumstances.  More information about Business Relief for Inheritance Tax can be found here (https://www.gov.uk/business-relief-inheritance-tax/what-qualifies-for-business-relief)
